A green island of happiness

Social norms deeply influence individual behavior. As these standards consist of a wide variety of components, all sides vie for the utmost attention. A high pressure to fulfill the demands regularly is the consequence.

This is tempting as it promises success, calm or recognition, and pledges to prevent failure. Also, it constantly carries the quiet hope of fulfillment and happiness. However, Achieving this often fails when all sides can only offer the same unsatisfying grey options.

But putting up with the pressure is not a set law. There is constantly an option to create breathing space — a green island, which is not about proving yourself. It means spending time at a place that offers more promising perspectives and really endows fulfillment and happiness. It is the courage to emancipate from what doesn’t do any good that counts.
