Beyond the horizon

When staring too long at the horizon, one can quickly lose bearings. At times, its boundaries begin to merge with the environment. As a result, finding the focus becomes a problematic target. While one is still busy winking to gain perspective again, the reality has perhaps already changed.

Often, these transformations happen unexpectedly. The outcome is not always a pleasant experience because change does not necessarily mean improvement. It these moments, the temptation is big to remain for too long at a specific place. However, it runs the risk of completely losing track.

As the extent of the horizon sometimes seems endless, unforeseen surprises often arise when they are expected the less. Consequently, bridges might suddenly open up, guiding the way to the lost track, where obstacles previously bogarted all attention.
