Walking on difficult paths (Bridge in Givatayim) StefaniePietschmann-Derech Yitshak Rabin-Givatayim-Bridge -Israel

Difficult paths

If you have planned a path, you often have a clear picture in your head of how everything will play out. However, that does not mean that things will go how you thought they would because suddenly, a junction, a construction site, or a dead-end may appear. Then, you abruptly have to find a new solution for walking these new difficult paths.

This can quickly become overwhelming because the well-thought-out plan unexpectedly no longer works. Yet, that doesn’t change the fact that it has to go on somehow; therefore, deciding on a new direction is crucial. In the end, as life continues, you may only influence your attitude when going down these difficult paths until things calm down.

I took this photo in March 2022. You can see the bridge that connects two parts of the city of Givatayim (Israel). In the background, you can see modern residential buildings that reflect modern residential architecture. Before the modern buildings were built in the last 20 years, this area was simply covered in sand dunes. These buildings represent a huge trend of building high-rise towers that arose globally because of the growing demand for housing opportunities. As the living space is limited, the new architecture becomes taller and taller like here in Givatayim because the population constantly grows. One can see this trend in almost all modern countries.
